How-To Guide: Set Up ChatGPT as Your Dedicated Estimating Assistant

Step 1: Sign up for ChatGPT Plus

Go to chat.openai.com. If you don't have an account, click Sign up and create one. Once logged in, click your name in the bottom-left → Upgrade to Plus → enter your payment info. You'll have immediate access.

What you should see: The interface looks the same, but you'll see "GPT-4o" in the model selector at the top, and the left sidebar shows a Projects section.

Troubleshooting: If you don't see the Projects section, try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.
